Audi has maintained the 2021 specification in the 2022 Q5 but with a $700 price increase.
It is scheduled to go on sale in Fall 2021 and will be offered in three trim levels, with MSRPs starting at $44,000.
The S-Line Appearance Package is standard on the exterior, and the Audi Virtual Cockpit is standard on all interior models.
The Audi Q5 Plug-in Hybrid, which adds an electric motor to increase fuel economy, comes standard with a 261 horsepower 2.0L turbo I-4 engine.
The brand’s best-selling vehicle, a distinct Sportback model is also available with the same specifications.
Audi will also release the 2022 Q5 e-Tron with a range of 222 miles in late 2021.
A Brief Review
A couple of upgrades has characterized the Q5 as Audi is known for not completely changing its previous models’ features.
The Q5 appearance was modified with the addition of a larger touchscreen and even increased its power in 2021.
We expect the 2022 Audi Q5 to be a carryover vehicle, as the design and features are all still new. In the front, there are new headlamp innards, a reworked grille, and modified outer air intakes.
New taillight graphics and a new bumper with shorter integrated exhaust outlets are among the changes at the back.
All of the current Q5’s standard features, such as 18-inch wheels, leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, wood trim on the inside, a 10.1-inch touchscreen for infotainment, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, are likely to be included in the 2022 Audi Q5.
This stylish aggressive and dominating-looking beast comes with the Audi S-Line Appearance Package which is the standard set by Audi for this Marvel.
You get Ironman-inspired LED headlamps at the front along with the caged grille design which is quite different from the single-frame grille of its predecessors all of which increase its menacing character.
With 7 colors to choose from, Audi also offers you a chance to get a custom color for $3,900 extra.
The difference between the 2022 Audi Q5 Sportback and the conventional 2022 Q5 is seen once you approach the side While the Sportback has a slightly longer hind side, the standard one has a rather straightforward approach to the design.
The rearview reminds us of the older models, and yet throws in some sense of luxury and modernness to it which is quite exemplary, to say the least.
Riding on 18-inch wheels in the base trim which is upgraded to 20-inch wheels in the higher trims, the ride gets a ground clearance of 8.2-inches as well.
We have been made to understand that the 2022 Audi Q5 will be nothing short of Elegance with a captivating interior that is surrounded with leather treatment on almost all major surfaces along with soft-touch hard plastic that is both durable and yet does not feel tacky.
A multifunctional steering wheel with the Audi Virtual Cockpit interfaces is a tradition that has come to stay with the Audi big machines and the Q5 is decorated with it.
A digital driver is displayed in all three trims for this year.
The seats get leather upholstery all around right from the start and offer power adjustability. From the mid-tier Premium Plus trim, you also get driver seat memory.
The problem of being comfortable onboard and enjoying the ride has been handled by ensuring that the front seats are bolstered, spacious and comfortable even for the tall guys with 40.9-inches of legroom and 39.6-inches of headroom.
And even if you adjust your seat all the way to the back, it won’t eat too much into the rear cabin.
The rear seats are equally well spaced with just 2-inch lesser legroom than the front which means folks of any size can be seated comfortably.
In terms of SUV practicality, you also get a spacious 25.8 cu-ft of cargo space as well.
Under the Hood
By the fall of 2021 when this beast will be launch, we will see the spectacular Q5 Sportback with a mild-hybrid turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine.
This will makes 261 horsepower and 273 lb.-ft. of torque, and it should provide plenty of power.
However, for maximum performance, the Audi SQ5 Sportback supplies a turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 making 349 horsepower and 369 lb.-ft. of torque.
The innovation of the driver assist available in both versions, will allow the driver to calibrate the powertrain and other vehicle settings to specific preferences.
The SQ5 has a standard adaptive damping suspension, and it offers an optional air suspension with ride height adjustment.
Dynamic steering with a variable steering ratio is available as an option. It provides light-effort assist and quicker response at low speeds, and higher-effort assist with greater directional stability at faster speeds.
The launch date of the 2022 Audi Q5
The much-anticipated launch of the 2022 Audi Q5 is all set for the Fall of 2021 without any major changes both aesthetically or in any features being offered on the board.
The 2022 Audi Q5 is a perfect example of how the sum of the parts is greater than the individual parts themselves.
It may not have the best fuel economy or the most spacious interior, but for the price it asks, the 2022 Audi Q5 does manage to hold its own and offers a lucrative deal.
